Bringing clarity and hope in life's complexities
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). My registration number is 001408.
Professionally, I like the metaphor of a bridge. In sessions, we explore how to connect complex emotions and move from despair to hope, feeling unsafe to secure, and how to transform chaos into tranquility.
This type of bridging transformation presented itself in my own professional life as a career transition. Moving from Poland to Canada brought certain unknown challenges. The way through these hardships was to persevere and ground myself, and most importantly, to focus on my strengths.
In my clinical practice, I draw on my work experience as an Addiction Counselor at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre (Inpatient and Outpatient Programs) to understand the connections between addictive behaviors and mental health diagnoses. Many clients who suffer from addiction find themselves easily overwhelmed and discouraged. Through therapy, we search for the root cause of compulsive behaviors and implement steps to manage it.
In my past international clinical practice, I dedicated six years to supporting oncology patients and their families through various stages of cancer treatment. This experience taught me invaluable lessons about human resilience and courage, which I bring into every new session. I am devoted to creating a safe and compassionate space where we can explore the meaning of life and navigate the complexities of death together.
Aside from my private practice, I also work as an independent Psychotherapy Associate for The Whitestone Clinic.
Education
Striving to deepen my professional development, I continue to expand my knowledge and skills to stay informed about new developments and evidence-based therapy techniques.
Please reach out if you feel we may be a good fit to work together!
